When Jennifer Lawrence took a tumble on the Academy Awards red carpet on Sunday, TV cameras captured her grabbing on to the hair of the woman in front of her, almost ruining her carefully cultivated hairstyle.
And that woman, Lawrence's best pal Laura Simpson, 28, has opened up about the fall, dress fittings with Dior and meeting Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in a hilarious MySpace post describing her day at the Oscars with her famous friend.
Model Laura tells how her big day got off to a dramatic start as 'My date eats s**t and uses my freshly done Lauren Conrad up do to break her fall. The crowd goes wild.'
She adds: 'There are flashbulbs and people circling yet no one asks if I need any help because unless you are famous at the Oscars, you are completely invisible. I have never experienced anything like it.'
Revealing she was shouted at by photographers, she says: ‘The only time anyone talks to you is if you are in the way of his or her photo. Oh and photographers on the carpet yell "YOU IN THE HUGE DRESS, GET OUT OF THE F***ING SHOT." It's incredible. It is no wonder actors are crazy.’
While Jennifer, 23, took her seat in the front row between boyfriend Nicholas Hoult and American co-star and close pal Bradley Cooper, Laura was placed in a less prominent seat, joking, ‘I can't see jack s**t.'
